Expanding beyond the web platform, Zupiyo OTT now offers mobile applications for seamless on-the-go streaming experience.
GHAZIABAD, INDIA - Zupiyo OTT, the popular streaming platform by Nexra Corppe Private Limited, today announced the official launch of its mobile applications for iOS and Android devices. This significant expansion comes eight months after the platform's successful web launch on August 1, 2025, and responds to strong user demand for mobile access.
The new mobile apps bring the full Zupiyo OTT experience to smartphones and tablets, allowing users to discover and enjoy curated YouTube content on the go. The apps feature a mobile-optimized interface while maintaining the platform's signature clean design and powerful personalization features.
"Our users have been asking for mobile apps since day one, and we're thrilled to deliver a mobile experience that matches and enhances our web platform," said Amar Singh, CEO of Nexra Corppe Private Limited. "With over 70% of video consumption happening on mobile devices, these apps represent a crucial step in our growth strategy and our mission to improve content discovery wherever our users are."
The apps feature interfaces specifically designed for mobile use, with intuitive navigation, gesture controls, and optimized video playback that adapts to both portrait and landscape orientations.
Users can download videos for offline viewing, perfect for commutes or travel where internet connectivity may be limited or expensive.
Watch history, preferences, and playlists automatically sync between mobile and web platforms, enabling a seamless multi-device experience.
The apps include features uniquely suited to mobile, such as picture-in-picture mode, background audio playback, and widget support for quick access.
The mobile apps were developed with a focus on performance and efficiency, even on older device models. Key technical achievements include:
"We've put significant effort into ensuring the apps perform excellently across a wide range of devices," noted Raj Patel, CTO of Zupiyo OTT. "Our development team conducted extensive testing on over 100 different device models to guarantee a smooth experience for all our users."
Prior to today's public release, the apps underwent a comprehensive beta testing phase with 25,000 users across both iOS and Android platforms. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:
"The mobile app takes everything I loved about the web version and makes it even better for on-the-go use. The offline viewing feature is a game-changer for my daily commute."
The Zupiyo OTT mobile apps are available for free download starting today on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The apps support iOS 14.0+ and Android 8.0+, covering over 95% of mobile devices currently in use.
The company has also announced plans for frequent updates to the mobile apps, with the next major feature release scheduled for June 2026. This update will introduce social sharing features, enhanced recommendation algorithms, and expanded offline capabilities.
Since launching in August 2025, Zupiyo OTT has experienced rapid growth, recently surpassing 350,000 active users. The introduction of mobile apps is expected to significantly accelerate this growth trajectory.
"Based on beta testing and market analysis, we project that mobile users will account for approximately 70% of our total user base by the end of 2026," said Singh. "Our goal remains to reach 1 million users this year, and these mobile apps are a crucial component of that strategy."
